Bulldogs Pound Box Elder
The Bainville Bulldogs improved to 2-1 for the football season with a 47-0 home victory over Box Elder on Saturday, Sept. 11.
The Bulldogs earned a 35-0 lead in the first half en route to the non-conference win.
“Our intensity was high the whole game,” Bainville Coach Trustin Holcomb said.
Jesse Strickland, a senior, enjoyed an excellent game as he threw for four touchdowns and ran for another.
“We had a lot more energy than we did last week,” Strickland said.
He added that the Bulldogs need to keep playing with a lot of energy and confidence in order to reach the goal of qualifying for the playoffs this season.
When asked if he rather throw or run for a touchdown, Strickland said, “I just do whatever is open.”
Conner Wade had a receiving and rushing touchdown for the Bulldogs. Also scoring touchdowns were Chuck Butikofer, Sam Butikofer, Cayden Boyd and Reed Winn.
Defensive standouts included Logan Josephson with several quarterback pressures and C. Butikofer with an interception.
The Bulldogs play at Broadview/Lavina on Saturday, Sept. 18.
