Area Volleyball Players Selected All-State
Eight players from District 1C have earned selection to the Class C All-State volleyball squad.
Voted All-State from Plentywood were senior Liv Wangerin, senior Ashtyn Curtiss and senior Shayla Fawcett. The Wildcats placed second at the state tournament.
Selected All-State from Froid-Lake were juniors Dasani Nesbit and Carolyne Christoffersen. The Red Hawks won one match at the state tournament.
Culbertson’s hard-hitting junior Makena Hauge also earned a spot on the All-State squad.
Other players from the district selected All-State were North Country’s senior Jaycee Erickson and North Country’s sophomore Paige Wasson.
Along with the eight All-State players, other athletes voted All-Conference were Scobey’s senior Whitley Maher, Plentywood’s junior Emma Brensdal, Richey/ Lambert’s senior Jaylyn Klempel, North Country’s senior Zandora Longtree and Savage’s sophomore Brooke Reuter.
The second team included Froid/Lake’s junior Baylee Davidson, Culbertson’s junior Koree Marchwick, Froid/Lake’s junior Aleah Johnson, Froid/Lake’s senior Meg Ator, North Country’s sophomore Teagan Erickson, Savage’s junior Teah Conradsen, Fairview’s senior Scout Hopes, Scobey’s senior Daisey Hersel, Plentywood’s senior Kate Simonson, Plentywood’s freshman Mallory Tommerup, Fairview’s senior Megan Asbeck, MonDak’s junior Emma Smart and Scobey’s senior Kylee Anderson.
