Froid/Lake Repeats As State Champions


By Bill Vander Weele Froid/Lake Coach Michael Reiter knew that the Red Hawks were capable of a dominating performance in the state football playoffs this year.. The Red Hawks picked the perfect time for that to happen as they rolled to a 43-0 victory over Power/ Dutton/Brady in the six-man state championship contest in Dutton on Saturday, Nov. 23, for Froid/Lake’s second straight state championship.

After a strong start, the Froid/Lake Red Hawks fell short against Roy/Winifred at the Class C state volleyball tournament in Bozeman on Friday, Nov. 12. Red Hawks Upset Bridger In First Round Of State Tourney


Bridger entered the firstround match of the Class C state volleyball tournament as the defending state champion. Froid/Lake, meanwhile, was making its first appearance at state as a co-op and Medicine Lake didn’t qualify since 1991. After the favored Scouts won the opening two sets, Froid/Lake bounced back for an incredible 18-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-19, 17-15, victory on Thursday, Nov. 11.
