Car Chase Takes Place In Wolf Point Car Chase Takes Place In Wolf Point

A car chase started and ended in Wolf Point during the early afternoon hours of Friday, June 23.

A 30-year-old female allegedly walked into High Plains Motors around 12:38 p.m., took a set of keys and took off with a vehicle.

The Wolf Point Police Department and Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled from officers.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office became involved once the pursuit reached Custer Street. The chase continued on Montana Highway 25, a cut across and then on U.S. Highway 2. The stolen vehicle was traveling at about 75 miles per hour entering Wolf Point.

Precious Wetsit was arrested without incident at about 12:51 p.m. in the parking lot of the former Pro Tire in Wolf Point. She was charged with felony theft, fleeing from or eluding an officer and criminal endangerment.
