Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 113 calls from Aug. 12-19. The calls included the following: Aug. 12
Deputies traveled to the Gold Dust/Black Gold Casino near the state line. A female in the parking lot talked to deputies and appeared very nervous. Using a flashlight, deputies saw tinfoil in her vehicle. The result of the incident was the arrest of Maria Archdale-Hernandez, 32, of the charges of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, meth, and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia.
Aug. 13
Deputies assisted Fort Peck Tribes Animal Control with a request to remove two aggressive pit bulls from a Poplar residence. They searched the property, but couldn’t find the dogs.
Deputies assisted The Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice on the report of a fight in an alley in Poplar. Law enforcement broke up the disturbance.
Aug. 14
Deputies responded to the Hiland Inn in Culbertson for a domestic disturbance. Law enforcement separated two females.
Deputies received a report regarding a husband and wife fighting in Wolf Point. Derrick Fast Horse, 37, was arrested on a tribal warrant.
Aug. 15
While on patrol at mile marker 664 near the state line, a deputy noticed a vehicle with a broken taillight. After a traffic stop, Tanner Jorgensen, 31, of Bainville was charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license in Montana and North Dakota and driving with a taillight not working properly.
Aug. 16
Deputies responded to Brockton for a possible assault involving some juveniles. A report was sent to the tribal prosecutor.
Deputies responded to Highway 250 for a rollover involving a work truck pulling a header trailer. Also responding were the Montana Highway Patrol, FPTDLJ, Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department, Wolf Point Ambulance Service and Disaster and Emergency Services.
Aug. 17 Deputies and FPTDLJ received a report of a house break-in in Poplar. Merle IronBear, 24, was arrested for criminal trespass, criminal mischief and illegal sale or attempted sale of drug paraphernalia.
Aug. 18
Deputies responded to a two-vehicle traffic accident in Brockton. Two vehicles backed into each other. A report was sent to tribal court for possible charges.
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to a domestic dispute in Fort Kipp. An adult male became physical with law enforcement while being placed under arrest. Thomas Scott, 28, was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
