Office Of Public Instruction, Chanté Visit Parents At Home
Chanté Project staff teamed up with representatives from the Office of Public Instruction to visit parents of area schoolchildren at home from Fort Kipp to Frazer this past week. “Going out to people is a more effective model than waiting for people to come to us,” said Chanté Project Director Carly Hosford-Israel. Stephanie Iron Shooter led efforts from OPI staff. According to Hosford-Israel, community engagement efforts ranged from Frazer to Fort Kipp, with stops in between at Oswego, Wolf Point, Poplar and Brockton. She said teams seeking parental feedback delivered 100 bags with information about mental health awareness, suicide prevention and other issues.
