Wolf Point Speech, Debate And Drama Co-Host Meet In Poplar
The Wolf Point and Poplar High School speech, debate and drama team co-hosted a meet Nov. 9 in Poplar. Eleven schools competed and two observed.
Wolf Point’s Darlene Mac-Donald took second in humorous oral interpretation, Daniel Sears took fourth in impromptu, Gabby Hansen took fourth in serious oral interpretation, Jayme Martell took sixth in informative and Angelica Sutton took sixth in Lincoln Douglas Debate.
Overall, Culbertson was first place in class C speech. Second was Powder River and third was Hays Lodge Pole. In class B speech, first was Glasgow, second was Baker and third was Malta. Class A speech was won by Sidney, followed by Dawson County for second and Custer County for third.
For class C drama, Powder River took first and Hays Lodge Pole took second. In class B drama, Glasgow took first, Poplar took second and Baker took third. In Class A drama, Sidney took first and Custer County took second.
The Wolf Point speech, debate and drama team also competed in Glasgow Nov. 16. Sutton took first in Lincoln Douglas Debate, Hansen took first in dramatic oral interpretation and Sears took second in impromptu.
The team overall took second in class B sweeps behind
Glasgow. The team will travel to Circle Nov. 23 with debate starting at 8 a.m. and other events starting at 8:30 a.m. Come support the Wolves!
