Saturday Evening Fire Saturday Evening Fire

The former Blue Feather store burned Saturday evening, Nov. 23, in a fire that Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Chief Clint Bushman labeled as suspicious. Firefighters received the call and responded at about 8 p.m. with three trucks, command and 11 firefighters. U.S. Highway 2 was shut down briefly while the WPVFD staged to fight the fire. Officers from Wolf Point Police Department, Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice and Montana Highway Patrol all responded to assist with traffic control and the Wolf Point Volunteer Ambulance Service was on standby at the scene. The fire rekindled at 1:13 a.m. and the WPVFD responded again. (Photo by James Walling)
