Froid/Lake Takes Two Wins Over Bainville
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks earned two conference basketball wins over Bainville on Friday night, Feb. 7.
Froid/Lake’s girls downed the Bulldogs by a 52-19 margin.
The Lady Red Hawks jumped out to a 19-10 lead in the first quarter and increased the margin to 33-14 at intermission.
The Froid/Lake girls outscored Bainville 12-1 in the third quarter for a 45-15 advantage.
Leading the Lady Red Hawks were Sydney Labatte with 15 and Sydney Dethman with 13 points. Also scoring were Dasani Nesbit with eight, Carolyne Christoffersen with six, Baylee Davidson with six, Meg Ator with three and Missouri Kalal with one.
Scoring for the Lady Bulldogs were Aubrey Picard with nine, Lakyn Rabbe with seven and Micah Anderson with three.
Froid/Lake’s boys posted a 78-64 victory over Bainville.
The Red Hawks led 20-13 at the end of the first quarter and 36-30 at the half.
Froid/Lake struck for 19 points in the third quarter for a 55-42 lead.
Top scorers for the Red Hawks were Bode Miller with 24, Colt Miller with 21 and Javonne Nesbit with 20 points. Also scoring were Brett Stenthoft with seven, Mason Dethman with three and Ayden Hobbs with three.
Leading Bainville were Jesse Strickland with 24 and Derek Bower with 15 points. Adding nine points each were Carson Ullmer and Braeden Romo. Kaden Hansen scored seven.
