Jones, Kloker Stage Dam Run

This year’s Slam the Dam race in Fort Peck was set for March 21. Like most other public events, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis. Organizers Judy Jones (left) and Donna Kloker decided to jog across the dam by themselves Saturday. “Would you believe it was a gorgeous day,” Jones told the Northern Plains Independent, “probably the best we’ve ever had!” She said Kloker took the lead early: “There was definitely social distancing because Donna runs faster.”
