RCSO Sadler Expedited Through Academy Class
Detention Guards Randall, Sterling Expedited
Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Damon Sadler graduated from the Montana Law Enforcement Academy in Helena over the weekend.
RCSO Undersheriff John Summers told the Northern Plains Independent that Sadler’s class was expedited as part of the state’s response to the COVID-19 crisis.
“The academy was condensed and his class was pushed through a few weeks early due to the coronavirus scare,” said Summers.
Sadler will turn 21 in December. He was raised in Poplar and Wolf Point.
Summers said the department added two other recent graduates for the Roosevelt County Detention Center.
Said Summers, “Tristan Randall and Tyler Sterling graduated early from the detention guard academy this weekend, also.”
Sterling, originally from Porterville, Calif., coaches wrestling at Wolf Point High School. He is 26 years old. Sterling said Wolf Point School District board of trustees member Cory Reum recommended he look into the position.
Randall, 34, is from Wolf Point.
