Azure Arrested For Burglary, Warrant Sought For Second Man
Melvin Azure Jr., 27, was arrested Sunday, March 29, following a break-in at Albertsons in Wolf Point.
According to Wolf Point Police Chief Jeff Harada, Azure and a second male were identified on video surveillance kicking in a back door at Albertsons.
According to Harada, WPPD officers took a report of a burglary at 11:53 a.m. Sunday, March 29. The two males had kicked in the back door, causing significant damage, Harada said. During the break-in, the two adult males were observed on video footage loading a shopping cart full of merchandise, valued at $991.
Azure was arrested at 10 p.m. Sunday on Fort Peck Tribal Court charges of burglary, criminal mischief and theft.
A warrant has been requested from the Fort Peck Tribal Court for the second male.
