Bulls Face Off Against Laurel Dodgers

Community News Staff The Bulls rallied with three runs in the top of the seventh to edge Laurel, 7-6, on the road on Monday night, July 20.

Down by a 6-4 margin, the Bulls had a good start in the seventh when Payton Hauge and Braeden Romo walked. A single by Jackson Oie loaded the bases. With two outs, Cooper McNally came through with a single to knock home Hauge to cut the gap to 6-5.

Dylan Tabbert then connected for a single to bring in Romo and J. Oie for a 7-6 advantage.

Hauge pitched the final inning to end the game.

J. Oie led the Bulls with two hits. Romo scored three of the team's runs. Hauge added two runs.

After the Bulls scored in the top of the second, the Dodgers moved ahead with two in the third and another in the fourth.

The Bulls grabbed a 4-3 lead with three runs in the fifth. A two-run double by J. Oie highlighted the frame.

Laurel responded with three runs in the bottom of the sixth for a 6-4 advantage.

Bulls dropped the second game on Monday against Laurel by a 15-5 final.

After the Bulls jumped out to a 4-0 advantage, Laurel struck for five runs in the bottom of the second and four more in the third for a 9-4 advantage.

The Dodgers added two runs in the fourth and four more in the fifth.

J. Oie accounted for two of the Bulls' five hits.

Scoring runs were Bode Miller, Isaac Johnson, Hauge, Romo and J. Oie.

Romo batted in two runs in the contest.
