Bulls Play In Miles City, Head To District Tourney

Community News Staff The Post 49 Bulls tuned up for the district baseball tournament by playing five contests in Miles City during the weekend. The Bulls earned victories in two of the games.

The Bulls edged Busby by an 8-7 margin on Friday.

With the game deadlocked at 7-7, the Bulls' Dylan Tabbert singled and then stole two bases. He scored on a wild pitch to put the Bulls ahead to stay.

Bode Miller led the Bulls with three runs scored. Adding two runs each were Issac Johnson and Tabbert.

Issac Johnson accounted for three hits and two runs batted in.

Riley Beery pitched the final three innings for the victory. He struck-out two batters.

The Bulls trailed 6-3 before scoring two runs in the third and two more in the fourth inning.

The Bulls fell to the 406 Flyers18U by a 21-10 margin on Thursday. The Flyers tallied 10 of their runs in the third inning.

Payton Hauge led the Bulls with three hits and three runs batted in. Johnson finished with two hits and two runs batted in. Jackson Oie added three runs batted in.

B. Miller scored three of the Bulls' runs. Braeden Romo and Ator each crossed the plate twice.

The Bulls lost to the Miles City Outlaws, 9-0, on Friday. The Outlaws opened the contest with four runs in the first inning.

Having the Bulls' four hits were B. Miller, Hauge, Tabbert and J. Oie.

The Bulls bounced back with an 11-2 victory over the 406 Flyers JVs on Saturday morning.

The game was even at 2-2 until the Bulls struck for four runs in the fourth and five in the sixth inning.

B. Miller accounted for three hits and four RBIs. Adding two runs batted in each were Johnson and Tabbert.

Having two hits each were Johnson, Tabbert and J. Oie. Scoring twice each were Johnson, Hauge and C. Oie.

Connecting for doubles were Ator, Tabbert, Hauge, B. Miller, C. Oie and J. Oie.

Johnson pitched the first three innings and Tabbert pitched the final three frames.

The Bulls lost by an 8-4 final against the Emmanuel Halos on Sunday.

The game was even at 2-2 until the Halos scored three runs in the second, one in the third and two in the fifth for an 8-2 lead.

The Bulls battled to 8-4 with two runs in the top of the seventh inning.

B. Miller tallied two of the Bulls' runs. C. Oie and Tabbert also scored for the Bulls.

Tabbert accounted for two of the Bulls' seven hits.

Johnson led the attack with three runs batted in.
