Williston Man Arrested For Intent To Distribute Meth In Roosevelt County

Christopher Michael Stebbins, 53, of Williston, N.D., has been charged with conspiracy to possess methamphetamine with intent to distribute and attempted possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. He was arrested on a federal warrant July 21 by Federal Bureau of Investigation special agent Harry Murphy in Williston.

According to charging documents, Stebbins, together with others known and unknown to the Grand Jury, knowingly and unlawfully conspired and agreed to possess, with intent to distribute, 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine at or near Brockton beginning in January 2019 and continuing thereafter through at least December 2019.

Stebbins’ trial is set for Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. at Missouri River Federal Courthouse in Great Falls.

If convicted of the most serious crime, Stebbins faces a minimum mandatory 10 years to life in prison, a $10 million fine and at least five years of supervised release.

Stebbins was detained pending further proceedings.

The FBI and Fort Peck Criminal Investigation investigated the case.
