“Imagine Your Story” Summer Program Ends

Library Announces Grand Prize Winners

Although this year has had its challenges, The Culbertson Library staff were pleased with the participation in their summer reading program. “Great job to all of the families that helped their children get excited about reading,” said library staff.

In the past month, more than 50 children aged one to 13 read 536 hours. For every hour that the children read (or were read to), they received a ticket to win a grand prize donated by Finnicum’s Furniture and Hardware along with other prizes donated by Roosevelt Medical Center and several gift certificates to local businesses, which were purchased with donated funds.

The winners of their grand prizes in four age categories were as follows: Bella Petersen (age 10), Emilynn Powell (age nine), Kynzie Smith (age five) and Briggs Shanks (age 2). The Pay It Forward Prize winner was Jonathan Taberna. He won two $50 gift certificates to the Stagecoach/ Me Too Pizza: one to keep and one to “Pay it Forward” to a friend.
