New Northside Teacher Is Old School
Fourth-grade special education teacher Angela Swenson is new to the Northside School, but she’s got nearly a quarter century of experience in area schools.
Born and raised in Wolf Point, Swenson is well known in the community. She told the Northern Plains Independent that she spent one year teaching in Forsyth and then taught special education for 19 years at Minot Air Force Base in Ward County, N.D. She also taught for three years at Poplar School.
Her two sons attend Wolf Point High School, where both play football. Swenson said the family is also very involved with local baseball.
“I like to read during the summer,” she said. “But, when baseball season comes around, we’re busy all the time.”
Swenson attended college at Minot State University and she received her bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education.
