Runners Place At Glasgow Meet

The Culbertson/Bainville cross-country runners continued to improve during the Glasgow Invitational on Saturday.

“Our girls ran well,” Culbertson/ Bainville coach Dave Solem said. “The boys ran how I expected. They did improve.”

Sophomore Kayli Olson finished in sixth place with a time of 22:49.10. Autumn Bergum, a junior, placed eighth at 23:39.22.

Abbey Granbois, Culbertson’s homecoming queen, earned 27th place at 25:48.86. Donna Butifoker, a senior, took 40th at 27:19.50.

Glasgow earned first in the team standings. Glasgow’s Iris McKean was the individual winner with a time of 19:45.34.

Leading Culbertson’s boys was senior Colby Olson with a time of 21:14.64 for 28th place. Wyatt Snyder, a junior, earned 30th place at 22:37.91.

Sophomore Drue Nelson took 31st at 22:49.47. Maurice Bighorn finished 35th at 25:21.88.

Glasgow was the top boys’ team followed by Richey/ Lambert and Wolf Point. Samuel Smith of Richey/Lambert finished first at 15:54.63.

Culbertson will host its home invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26. The meet is expected to feature 13 teams.
