Rasmussen Retiring At End Of School Year

Bainville In Search Of New Superintendent

Renee Rasmussen has decided that her ninth year as Bainville’s superintendent of schools will be her last serving in the school system. She’s retiring with a great amount of gratitude to the Bainville community.

“I’ve really appreciated being associated with the staff, school board, community and students,” Rasmussen said. “I have a great staff and board.”

The decision was anything but a quick one.

“Anybody that knows me, know that I’m a planner. I’m a big picture person,” Rasmussen said. “This has been my plan for about 10 years.”

Prior to coming back to her hometown of Bainville, Rasmussen worked for 15 years as an English teacher in Chester and then was superintendent of schools in Wibaux for six years.

“It’s really been a pleasure to return to the town where I went to high school,” Rasmussen said. “It’s a good school system. We have good people.”

She announced her end-of-theschool- year resignation this early in the school year to make sure school officials could begin their process for a replacement.

“I really wanted them to be successful in their search,” Rasmussen said.

With family members located in the Helena area, Rasmussen and her husband will be retiring in that city.

“The grandkids are calling,” Rasmussen said.
