Wallis Renee “Wally” Whitehawk-Scheaffer, “Holy Road Woman,” 61, died Sept. 11, 2020, at her home in Wolf Point.

She was born Nov. 4, 1958, in Poplar to Benedict Whitehawk and Iris Whitehawk-Anderson.

She was always a happygo- lucky person who always had a smile. She liked to go hunting with her brothers. She was the spotter for them and can always spot the deer a long way away. She like to play pool and won a lot of tournaments. She like to listen to music and drive around with friends.

She attended school in Poplar and Wolf Point, later getting her G.E.D. from Fort Peck Community College. She was a dispatcher for the Fort Peck Tribes.

She met her longtime companion, Mike Wagon Seller, and together they raised her grandson T.J. until Mike’s death in 2015.

She was always there to listen and give advice if she could. She had many friends and family.

She is survived by her mother, Iris of Wolf Point; her son, Benji of Wolf Point; five daughters, Lander, Chantelle, Shalee, Chancie and CeCe, all of Wolf Point; her brother Delbert Kennedy of Billings, Montana; sister, Marilyn Kennedy of California; adopted brothers, Craig Azure Sr. and Phillip Pipestem of Wolf Point; and numerous adopted sisters.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Whitehawk; and her longtime companion, Mike Wagon Seller.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Arbor in Wolf Point. Interment was in King Memorial Cemetery in Wolf Point. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
