Wolves Drop Home Match Against Glasgow
A strong Glasgow squad downed Wolf Point, 25-11, 25-9, 25-11, during conference volleyball play in Wolf Point on Thursday night.
After Glasgow gained a 7-0 lead in the opening set, the Wolves struck back with two kills by 5-11 senior Kayden Sibley.
The Scotties were able to increase their lead to 15-5 on kills by Riley Noser and Abby Engstrom.
A kill by Sierra Hamilton cut the gap to 18-9, and a tip by Gracie Ferdina closed the margin to 21-10. After a spike by Sibley for a 23-11 score, Glasgow accounted for the game’s last two points on kills by Abrianna Nielsen and Tyann Graham.
Kills by Jewel Olson and Mikaya Smoker-Dewitt kept the Wolves close at 8-5 in the second set.
Glasgow, however, gained an 18-8 advantage. After a point by Wolf Point, Glasgow accounted for the last seven points of the second set.
Wolf Point used kills by Olson and Smoker-Dewitt to keep the third set close at 5-3. Glasgow moved ahead to 16-6 on the net play of Klaire Krumwiede, Engstrom and Noser. Aces by Rachelle Glaser increased the margin to 19-7.
The Wolves fought back to 20-9 on a kill by Sibley and a block by Smoker-Dewitt. Glasgow went on to win by a 25-11 final.
The Wolves struggled and lost by a 19-25, 12-25, 14-25, final in Fairview on Friday.
