Wolf Point High School football fans will have their own brand of Monday Night Football this October because of schedule changes.

After having to postpone games earlier this season because of virus concerns, the Wolves are now scheduled to play at Cut Bank starting with kickoff set for 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, and at Baker on Monday, Oct. 19, with a 5 p.m. kickoff.

“There are some unique things to make up for the lost time,” Wolf Point athletic director Cody Larson said of the Monday games.

The Wolves plan to have a maroon/white scrimmage starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9.

Home varsity football games scheduled include Glasgow at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, and Poplar at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23.

Varsity volleyball matches on tap include Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Glasgow; Friday, Oct. 16, at Baker; Saturday, Oct. 17, at home against Malta; Tuesday, Oct. 20, at home against Baker; Thursday, Oct. 22, at Poplar; and Saturday, Oct. 24, at Harlem.

Larson said league officials have agreed to hold the district volleyball tournament with more of a basketball tournament format. The fourth and fifth seeds will meet on Thursday, Oct. 29, in Malta. The winner of that match and the other three teams will play in Malta on Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31.

The divisional volleyball tournament will use Conrad and Shelby as the two locations.

Wolf Point is planning to host a home cross-country meet on Saturday, Oct. 17. The state meet is still scheduled to take place in Kalispell the following weekend.
