Thanks to a donation of $5,000 from Whitney Williams and the Our Montana Fund of Montana Community Foundation in honor of Buzz and Laurie Mattelin, the County Cupboard food bank in Culbertson was able to restock their shelves during the first week of October. The donation led to an Oct. 6 distribution of over 60 food bags.

According to organizers, the total cost to keep the shelves fully stocked is around $3,500.

The County Cupboard is fully funded by monetary donations.

Sources within the organization told the Community News that the most recent round of donations was distributed primarily to people in need from outside Culbertson city limits.

If you are interested in making a donation, there is an account set up at First Community Bank. You can also send the group messages on their Facebook page. A recent post suggests making a holiday donation in honor or memory of a loved one.
