Cowboys Fall At Forsyth

The Culbertson Cowboys played their most competitive football game of the season but lost by an 18-0 margin in Forsyth on Friday, Oct. 18.

Forsyth gained a 12-0 lead during the second quarter.

“We couldn’t punch the ball in when we were in the red zone,” Culbertson Coach Brian Manning said.

One of Culbertson’s threats came in the final minute of the half when the Cowboys drove as deep as the Forysth four.

Forsyth added a touchdown in the game’s last 1:40 for the 18-0 final.

Offensive highlights for the Cowboys included two impressive catches by junior James Kirkalde.

Defensively, Aiden Perkins was a standout with a sack and other strong plays.

The Cowboys will finish their regular season with a game at Scobey on Thursday, Oct. 22. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

“We just have to keep playing hard,” Manning said.
