Douglas Gets Five Years Deferred On Drug Charge
Mitch Danell Douglas has been sentenced for the alternate count of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony.
Douglas made the plea of guilty to the charge Aug. 12.
District Judge David Cybulski sentenced Douglas to a five-year deferred sentence and a fine of $1,000 during a sentencing hearing on Sept. 29.
According to court records, Montana Highway Patrol stopped a vehicle for allegedly speeding on April 30, 2019. Douglas was a passenger in the rear during the stop. When talking to law enforcement, Douglas was shaky, stuttering and provided a false last name.
He was placed under arrest for providing a false name.
In the rear seat of the vehicle, law enforcement discovered 251 oxycodone hydrochloride pills located in a baggie.
