Wolf Point High School senior Gracie Ferdina treasures representing the school whether it’s as a volleyball standout or a cheerleading squad member.

Ferdina has been a member of the volleyball program throughout her high school career including being on varsity for two years.

“I like volleyball a little bit more, because I feel it’s more competitive,” Ferdina said of comparing volleyball and cheerleading.

This is her first year as the varsity squad’s starting setter.

“I like it, it’s really fun,” Ferdina said.

She’s confident in the squad’s success for the rest of this season.

“We all have a lot of talent,” Ferdina said. “Our goal is to make it into the district championship match.”

During the winter months, Ferdina enjoys serving as one of the school’s cheerleaders.

“It’s fun because it’s me and my friends,” Ferdina said of cheerleading. “I like cheering on our basketball teams because they are really good.”

She is also involved in National Honor Society and on the yearbook staff.

“I like taking pictures of all the activities,” she noted.

She carries a 3.6 grade point average.

Her favorite teachers are Ms. Romo and Mr. Wilson.

“I feel that both are great teachers, and I’ve learned a lot in their classes,” Ferdina said.

Her favorite subject is art. “It’s a nice atmosphere in that classroom. It’s relaxing.”

The senior’s plans are to attend college in either Bozeman or Billings and maybe become a dental hygienist.

She has enjoyed her education in Wolf Point.

“I feel everybody’s friendly and I feel accepted,” Ferdina said.
