Dale M. Headdress, 72, of Wolf Point died Oct. 11, 2020.
He was born on July 29, 1948, to Dale M. Headdress Sr. and Norma Headdress. He attended school in Wolf Point and Poplar and graduated from Poplar High School.
He worked at various jobs and attended college before he became the BIA Police Captain. After he retired, he went back to college and earned associate degrees in general studies and business. He was currently working for Spotted Bull Treatment Center MAPS program.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kayleen Headdress; children, Lane Headdress, Norma Young, Debra Headdress, Amy Headdress Deherra, Gale Headdress, Denise Morgan, Anne Buffalo, Winona Ross, Luane Brown and Tony Headdress, who he raised as his own and various grandchildren; siblings, Charles Headdress Sr., Arlyn Headdress, Henry Headdress, Leroy Headdress, Sheldon Headdress, Lonnie Headdress and Larry Headdress; three sisters, Shannon Gonzalez, Ione Hanson and Doris Headdress Thompson; and his adopted Yarlotte family from Crow, Marlon Yarlotte, Elmer Yarlotte Jr., Tom Yarlotte and Marlen “Deano” (Marie) Yarlotte.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Dale M. Headdress Sr. and Norma Gregg Headdress; his son, Dale Randy Headdress, and Kyle whom he raised as his own; his sister, Michelle Headdress Buck Elk; brother, Mitchell Headdress; and adopted father, Elmer Yarlott Sr.
A graveside was held Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Headdress Family Cemetery west of Wolf Point. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was been entrusted with the arrangements.
