The Poplar Indians put together positive efforts but lost volleyball matches at Harlem on Friday, Oct. 23.

Harlem won the first match by a score of 25-14, 23-25, 25-15, 25-21.

Leaders for the Indians included Macey Stump with 10 kills and Dusti Marottek with four aces.

Keandra Martell accounted for eight assists. Jazmin Gorder had eight digs. Morgen Nordwick scored two blocks.

The Wildcats scored a 25-16, 25-22, 18-25, 25-16, win in the second match of the day.

Poplar’s Nordwick finished with 10 kills, three aces and seven blocks.

Martell had 10 assists. Gorder had six digs.

Poplar will face Harlem in the fourth-fifth place match at the district tournament in Malta on Thursday, Oct. 29.
