Members of the Montana National Guard mobile event team visited the Culbertson School Monday, Oct. 26. The team has worked to develop a S.T.E.M. program that is available to Montana schools.

According to a letter from Sgt. Steve Weber, the program is new and outreach is ongoing.

“A few schools have already taken advantage of this program,” said Weber. “But most are not aware that this program exists and what it consists of.”

This program, which is free to schools, includes a virtual reality system, Pitsco wind tunnel, a forward looking infrared hand tool with thermal imaging capacity and Tetrix Robots.

Said Weber, “Tetrix Robots are used to give students the opportunity to increase creativity, prepare for future STEM jobs and teach essential teamwork skills.”

National Guard members also assisted with the JMG Glow Run for Suicide Prevention in the evening Monday, Oct. 26, at the Culbertson football field. For more information about the Guard’s mobile event team, write Weber at stephen.j.weber8.mil@mail.mil.
