Despite challenges presented by the pandemic, Miss Montana Jessica Criss has been traveling in the region, focusing on stops at smaller schools where social distancing is possible.

In normal times, Criss’ travels would involve big audiences at school assemblies. Large gatherings are off the agenda at present however and Criss spent two days at Brockton School and Culbertson School Oct. 19-20.

Criss is carrying an anti-bullying platform around the state. She is using martial arts training to promote safety and key concepts like integrity, compassion and perseverance. She told teachers at the Culbertson School that she hopes students will apply the concepts she’s sharing in their lives at school and at home.

Criss spent the better part of Monday, Oct. 19, with students at the Brockton School and Tuesday, Oct. 20, with students in Culbertson. A visit was planned in Bainville but had to be canceled due to the pandemic.
