Charged With

Homicide In Death

Of Three-Year-Old

A 30-year-old Wolf Point woman has been charged with deliberate homicide after the death of a three-yearold on Thursday, Nov. 12.

Wolf Point Chief of Police Jeff Harada said the police department responded at 1:11 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, for an emergency call on the 1200 block of Fourth Avenue North regarding an unresponsive three-year-old. The Wolf Point Police Department and the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice assisted the ambulance service.

Heather Dawn Yellow Owl-Griffing was charged with deliberate homicide.

Continued investigation is being conducted by the Wolf Point Police Department, tribal investigators and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Yellow Owl-Griffing will face charges in tribal court. The U.S. Attorney’s Office will also handle the case.
