Group Teams Up with Nashua

The Nashua Jobs for Montana Graduates program is partnering with area students to offer the Sponsoring A Child program Nov. 12-Dec. 8.

They will put together totes for children heading into foster care. Supplies suggested by the Department of Public Health and Human Services include toothbrushes, toothpastes, chap stick, flashlights, combs/brushes, mouthwash, floss, baby wipes, deodorant, fleece blankets, lotion, pacifiers, water bottles, gloves, hats, ear muffs, diapers, stuffed animals, notebooks, pens/ pencil and coloring books.

Culbertson JMG students participated in the annual JMG Cats/Griz food drive Nov. 23. The final score for the competition had 218 points for the Montana State Bobcats and 173 points for University of Montana Grizzlies team.

Students delivered the proceeds of the contest to the County Cupboard food bank in Culbertson.

Teacher Mary Machart said, “We are thinking of doing it again in spring when the actual game is played.”
