Optimist Bazaar Set For Dec. 5
The Optimist Club of Wolf Point is excited to announce that its traditional holiday bazaar will take place on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Gloria Sande, secretary/ treasurer of the organization, said so far 21 tables have been reserved by vendors. A few more will probably be added for the event at Wolf Point High School.
“We’re following restrictions,” Sande said. “We will have masks available for people who don’t have them.”
A meal featuring pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, beans, a cupcake and a beverage will cost $10 and be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can eat the meal there or take it to-go.
People can also purchase cookie plates or individually wrapped cookies. The traditional cookies and candy by the pound has been modified this year to pre-boxed cookie plates to follow COVID-19 guidelines.
“There are cookies and candy plates galore,” Sande said.
The club’s Angel Tree Radio- thon won’t be conducted on the radio this year because of social distancing. Instead, donations can be sent to Wolf Point Optimist Club, P.O. Box 486, Wolf Point, MT 59201.
Angels have been hung on trees located at the Sherman Inn, Bryan’s, Gylser’s Hardware and Cenex East. Community members are encouraged to take an angel and purchase gifts for the child represented. Information for the child designated for each individual angel is written on the back.
This year, the angel tree project will focus on local families that are struggling due to COVID-19-related issues that may not be receiving assistance elsewhere.
