Police Investigating Fatal Shooting
According to Wolf Point Police Chief Jeff Harada, the Wolf Point Police Department responded to a call after a report of gun shots on the 400 block of Helena Ave. at 8:02 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27.
A second neighborhood resident called requesting law enforcement and ambulance services for an injured male. After arrival at the scene, officers tried to resuscitate the injured male with assistance from ambulance services.
Also responding was the Fort Peck Tribes Criminal Investigation Division. A request was made to have the Roosevelt County coroner assist.
The investigation of the death continues by the WPPD, FPTCID and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
WPPD has not released the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin. Family members have identified the victim as Cody Weeks-Combs, 28, of Wolf Point.
