Food Producers Assistance Deadline Set For Dec. 11
The Dec. 11 deadline to apply for funding through the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program 2 is rapidly approaching.
The CFAP-2 provides agriculture producers with financial assistance that gives them the ability to absorb some of the increased marketing costs associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
CFAP 2 has already proved over $11 billion in financial assistance to agricultural producers in the United States. Almost 12,000 producers in Montana have received over $227.4 million in assistance.
Earlier this year, the USDA had a CFAP 1 round of funding which distributed over $10.4 billion in assistance to ag producers in the U.S. Montana producers received almost $180 million in funding in Round 1.
