Commissioners Have Light Agenda Dec. 22

The Roosevelt County commissioners accepted the resignation of Rick Gilbert off the fair board during the meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 22.

Gilbert of Culbertson has served a couple of terms, said Commissioner Gordon Oelkers.

The county is advertising for the position to replace Gilbert on the five-member board.

During the meeting, commissioners approved the reappointments for Dana Salivar of Bainville and Phylis Sethre of Wolf Point to the fair board.

Susan Snitker resigned from the county’s library board. Commissioner Gary Macdonald made a motion to accept Snitiker’s resignation and thank her for her service.

After receiving a request from Nemont, the commissioners approved providing a letter of support for Nemont’s 911 grant. Commissioners approved the request 2-0 with Macdonald abstaining because he serves on the 911 board. The letter is needed by the end of the year.

Commissioners approved claims of $179,206.11 for Dec. 4, and $203,015.11 for Dec. 17.
