Wolf Point Man Killed In Train Accident
A spokesperson from Burlington Northern Sante Fe has confirmed that an individual was killed in a train accident in Wolf Point on Monday, Dec. 28. The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the deceased was Greg Badhawk of Wolf Point.
BNSF spokesperson Courtney Wallace said a train struck Badhawk in Wolf Point. The incident occurred around 7 p.m., Wallace said.
“An investigation is ongoing by local law enforcement,” Wallace said. “The freight train was transporting different types of diesel.”
Wallace said the train stayed at the location during the initial investigation and then moved on.
“There were no injuries to the crew,” Wallace said.
Roosevelt County 911 dispatch received a call for service at 7:16 p.m. The Wolf Point Police Department arrived first on the scene. Officer Dave Betshismedicine is the primary investigator. WPPD was joined by investigators from the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice, Wolf Point Ambulance Service and the Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department.
