Two Businesses Receive Grants
Two Wolf Point businesses were announced as among the 34 Native American businesses to receive a total of $350,000 grants in Montana.
The grants were made possible by the Indian Equity Fund Small Business Grant program at the Montana Department of Commerce.
The two Wolf Point businesses listed were Turcotte Food Bus and Whatever Construction.
Other Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribal members’ businesses selected were Redbyrd Designs in Glasgow and Redgrave Education Services in Billings.
“Investing in Native American- owned small businesses means investing in opportunities to create jobs and strengthen local and tribal economies across Montana,” Gov. Steve Bullock said. “The Indian Equity Fund Small Business Grant is one of the best tools the state has available to directly support entrepreneurs and small business owners in Indian Country.”
Each business will receive between $3,750 and $14,000. The funds can be used on expenses related to expanding business projects such as purchasing new equipment or creating a new product line.
