Bainville Battles Against MonDak Teams
The Bainville Bulldogs came up short against Mon-Dak in two home basketball games on Saturday, Jan. 9.
In the boys’ contest, the Bulldogs lost by a 38-27 final.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 15-8 lead in the first quarter as Braeden Romo and Chuck Butikofer each scored five points.
MonDak took a 23-15 halftime advantage and led 25-21 after three quarters of action. Bainville’s top scorers were Churck Butikofer with nine, Jesse Strickland with seven and Braeden Romo with seven.
Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Kaden Hansen with two and Braeden Romo with two.
Bainville’s girls fell by a 42-28 margin.
After MonDak gained a 10-2 lead in the first quarter, the Thunder led by a 22-12 half-time margin. MonDak increased the gap to 36-16 in the third quarter.
Top scorers for the Bulldogs were Lakyn Rabbe with eight and Brecklyn Pippenger with seven points. Adding five points each were Sadie Ullmer and Kaitlyn Adkins. Elsie Wilson scored three points.
Leading MonDak were Elizabeth Field with 14 and Kiarra Brunelle with nine.
