BSK On Track To Reopen

Bigger Sky Kids in Wolf Point is reopening for classes and afterschool activities Thursday, Jan. 14.

According program director Otto Osen, Cathryn McIntyre’s painting class will be held on Thursdays from 4:15 to 5:45 p.m. McIntyre’s class on studio art, which was scheduled to meet thirty times in the 2019–2020 academic year, was suspended in March with seven classes remaining. Those sessions will also carry over to 2021, ensuring at least nineteen classes over the course of the coming year.

“Cathryn’s work is central to our mission,” said program director Barbara Olson.

Osen said computer classes will be held on Mondays and traditional Native dance for boys will be held on Tuesdays.

“We decided to wait until [COVID-19] cases were on a downward trend and holiday/ Christmas break didn’t raise them,” said Osen.

BSK sponsors after-school, art-based instruction and provides a safe place for children to participate in program activity. To learn more about when programming will resume, visit Bigger Sky Kids on Facebook or contact BarOlson at Northside School. You can also visit biggerskykids.org.
