Bulldogs Score Win Over Cowboys

Bainville’s boys’ basketball pulled away for a 60-36 victory in Culbertson on Tuesday, Jan. 12.

The Bulldogs led 39-30 after three quarters of play and then accounted for 21 points in the fourth quarter. Sam Butikofer scored six points in the period.

“It was just a good fourth quarter to put it away,” Bainville Coach Jess Romo said. “We found high percentage shots and worked together really well to help close it out.”

The Bulldogs gained a 17-7 lead in the first quarter and led 27-18 at the half.

Kaden Hansen topped Bainville’s scoring with 20 points.

Also reaching double figures were Jesse Strickland with 12 and Braeden Romo with 11 points.

Also scoring were S. Butikofer with eight, Chuck Butikofer with four, Drae Nelson with two, Reid Anderson with two and Ayden Knudsen with one.

Leading the Cowboys with eight points each were Mike Pederson and Hunter Lucas.

Rounding out Culbertson’s scoring were James Kirkaldie with six, Aiden Perkins with four, Payton Perkins with four, Isaiah Bighorn with four and Carson Solem with two.
