Culbertson Girls Defeat Bainville

The Culbertson Cowgirls exploded for 19 points in the third quarter and downed Bainville, 49-30, at home on Tuesday, Jan. 12.

Megan Granbois scored seven points and Makena Hauge added six points in the quarter to lead the Cowgirls to a 41-20 advantage.

Culbertson’s top scorers in the contest were Hauge with 20 and Granbois with 17 points.

Also scoring for the Cowgirls were Destiney Thompson with six, Koree Marchwick with four and Alicyn Ator with two points.

Elsie Wilson, an eighth-grader, led Bainville with 11 points. Kaitlyn Adkins scored seven points.

Others scoring for Bainville were Brecklyn Pippenger with five, Tally Berwick with four, Gwen Norton with two and Lakyn Rabbe with one.

Culbertson jumped out to an 11-6 lead in the first quarter and was ahead 22-14 at the half.
