Froid/Lake Down Bainville Squads
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks earned basketball victories in Bainville during Class C action on Saturday, Jan. 16.
In the girls’ contest, Froid/ Lake won by a 47-32 final.
The Red Hawks jumped out to a 14-4 lead in the first quarter as Baylee Davidson hit two three-pointers.
Froid/Lake led 25-12 at the half. The Red Hawks scored 16 points in the third quarter for a 41-16 advantage. Dasani Nesbit scored seven points in the third quarter.
Top scorers for the Red Hawks were Nesbit with 16, Sydney Dethman with 12 and Davidson with nine.
Also scoring were Carolyne Christoffersen with four, Mara Salvevold with four and Meg Ator with two.
Leading Bainville were Lakyn Rabbe with eight and Elsie Wilson with seven.
Rounding out the scoring for the Bulldogs were Sadie Ullmer with five, Kendra Romo with five, Tally Berwick with four and Brecklyn Pippenger with one. In the boys’ contest, Froid/ Lake posted a 65-32 victory.
The Red Hawks gained a 24-4 lead in the first quarter.
Froid/Lake led 38-11 at the half and 59-20 at the end of three quarters.
Scoring 13 points each for Froid/Lake were Mason Dethman and Colt Miller.
Scoring seven points each were Brett Stentoft, Walker Ator and Tyler Wivholm. Adding six points were Javonne Nesbit and Bode Miller. Also scoring were Daniel Forizs, Nate Stentoft and Ashdyn Hobbs.
Leading the Bulldogs with seven points each were Jesse Strickland, Chuck Butikofer and Sam Butikofer. Adding four points each were Braeden Romo and Kaden Hansen. Alex Strickland had three points.
