Red Hawks Knock Off Fusion Teams
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks gained control in the fourth quarter to edge Richey/Lambert, 63-47, during boys’ basketball action in Richey on Friday, Jan. 15.
The Fusion jumped out to a 12-11 lead, but Froid/Lake moved ahead 26-20 at the half.
Ahead 43-37 after three quarters of play, the Red Hawks accounted for 20 points in the fourth quarter.
Top scorers for the Red Hawks were Javonne Nesbit with 19 and Colt Miller with 18 points.
Also scoring were Tyler Wivholm with 12, Mason Dethman with eight and Bode Miller with six.
Leading the Fusion were Jayden Goosen with 13, Grady Gonsioroski with 10 and Caleb Senner with nine points.
The Froid/Lake girls’ basketball squad stayed hot with a 43-16 victory in Richey on Friday, Jan. 15.
The Red Hawks led 16-3 after the first quarter and 27-7 at the half.
“Our defense was really good,” Froid/Lake Coach Lance Brekke said. “Our offense advanced the ball well.”
Leading the Red Hawks were Sydney Dethman with 18 and Dasani Nesbit with 14 points.
Also scoring were Baylee Davidson with six, Carolyne Christoffersen with four and Meg Ator with one.
