Bainville Knocks Off Savage, 52-46

The Bainville Bulldogs captured a 52-46 boys’ basketball victory in Savage on Saturday, Jan. 30.

Bainville took a 12-4 lead in the first quarter and held a 27-17 half-time advantage.

The Bulldogs increased the margin to 41-25 in the third quarter. Jesse Strickland scored seven points in the quarter.

Leading Bainville were Strickland with 22 points. Finishing with 11 points each were Braeden Romo and Kaden Hansen.

Also scoring were Chuck Butikofer with six and Sam Butikofer with two points.

Top scorers for Savage were Caesn Erickson with 16, Sloan McPherson with 15 and Logan Nelson with 13.

Bainville lost at Plentywood, 74-44, on Friday, Jan. 29.

Plentywood scored 22 points in the first quarter and 20 in the second quarter for a 42-26 advantage.

Leading the Bulldogs with 13 points each were Jesse Strickland and Sam Butikofer.

Also scoring for Bainville were Kaden Hansen with nine, Chuck Butikofer with seven and Braeden Romo with two.

Reese Wirtz accounted for 30 of Plentywood’s points.

The Bulldogs will host Richey/Lambert on Friday, Feb. 5, and travel to Circle on Saturday, Feb. 6.
