The Frazer Bearcubs suffered defeats against Scobey and Wolf Point’s JVs during basketball play last week.

Frazer’s boys lost by a 73-24 final against Scobey on Tuesday, Jan. 26. The Spartans led 26-5 at the end of the first quarter.

Keein Ackerman scored 10 points for the Bearcubs. John Hotomanie added six points. Also scoring were Ty Fourstar with three, Tory Jackson with three and Jonathon Jackson with two.

The Bearcubs fell to Wolf Point’s JVs, 68-45, on Saturday, Jan. 30.

After trailing only 15-12 at the end of the first quarter, Frazer fell behind 50-34 at the half.

Wolf Point’s JVs led 50-34 after three quarters of play.

A basket by Jonathon Jackson and three free throws by Ackerman pulled the Bearcubs to 54-42 with 3:50 left, but Wolf Point scored the game’s final 10 points to post the victory.

Frazer’s girls lost to Scobey by a 61-17 margin.

The Spartans led 35-6 at the end of the first quarter and 51-10 at the half.

Lianna Jackson scored six points for Frazer and Justine Smoker added five. Scoring two points each were Ameri Lorenz, Audrey Smoker and Angel Nelligan.

Frazer’s girls fell by a 45-20 final against Wolf Point’s JVs.

The Wolves led 24-14 at the half. Wolf Point increased its advantage to 31-14 early in the third quarter.

Wolf Point ended the third quarter with a 35-16 advantage.

Frazer is scheduled to play in Nashua on Friday, Feb. 5, and in Lustre on Saturday, Feb. 6.
