Froid/Lake Boys Edge MonDak Thunder
The Froid/Lake boys basketball team knocked off MonDak, 57-31, during District 2C boys’ basketball action in Grenora on Tuesday, Jan. 26.
The Red Hawks took an 18-7 lead in the first quarter and increased their advantage to 31-14 at the half. Tyler Wivholm tallied seven points in the first quarter and Mason Dethman scored six of Froid/ Lake’s points in the second quarter.
Froid/Lake led 44-24 after three quarters of play.
Top scorers for the Red Hawks were Dethman with 17, Colt Miller with 11 and Wivholm with 10 points.
Also scoring were Bode Miller with seven, Brett Stentoft with six, Javonne Nesbit with four and Walker Ator with two. Leading MonDak were Adian` Harbin with 14 and Erik Field with nine points.
