Individuals Change Pleas In District Court

Two individuals changed their pleas to guilty during hearings in district court on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Fredrick Jameson, 33, of Williston, N.D., made a plea of guilty for being in possession of dangerous drugs, meth, with the intent to distribute.

District Judge David Cybulski said maximum penalties for the charge are 20 years in prison, a $50,000 fine or both.

In a statement, Jamison said he was in possession of meth and had the intent to distribute in Roosevelt County on Aug. 20, 2020.

Jamison noted that he’s thankful to be alive and that his world got turned around.

“It’s just a blessing for me to be sitting in this chair,” Jamison said.

Cybulski ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Jessica Marie Taylor, 39, of Wolf Point, changed her plea to guilty for criminal possession of drugs, meth.

Maximum penalties are five years in prison, $5,000 fine or both.

In her statement, Taylor said that she was pulled over by an officer Oct. 12. The officer claimed he could smell marijuana on her breath. The officer asked for permission to search the vehicle, and Taylor admitted there was meth in the glove box.

Cybulski ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Clifford Evan Briscoe made not guilty pleas to criminal possession of dangerous drugs, meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jay Allan Fugate made not guilty pleas to driving under the influence of intoxicants, fourth or subsequent offense, and criminal endangerment.

An omnibus hearing was set for Feb. 10. A trial was scheduled for April 15.
