Lustre Loses League Contests To Scobey

Lustre Christian lost both conference basketball games against Scobey on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

In the boys’ game, Scobey won by a 59-29 final.

The Spartans jumped out to an 18-4 lead in the first quarter. Scobey moved ahead 37-13 at the half.

Kolden Hoversland scored 13 points to lead the Lions.

Also scoring for Lustre were Elijah Lenihan with nine, Kaleb Hoversland with three, Cayden Klatt with two and Alex Chen with two.

Top scorers for Scobey were Parker Cromwell with 11, Caden Handran with 10 and Aidan Fishnell with 10.

Scobey’s girls won by a 45-16 final.

Scobey gained a 15-3 lead in the first quarter. After a 21-9 half-time score, the Spartans outscored Lustre 19-1 in the third quarter.

Alexa Reddig scored 12 points for Lustre.

Also scoring were Aubri Holzrichter with two, Grace Brown with one and Tiara Whitmus.

Leading Scobey were Gracee Lekvold with 19, Karys Lamb with 12 and Ryleigh Backman with eight.
