Page wrestled a Malta wrestler and a Glasgow wrestler. “He had the state champion from last year. He was a little out gunned on that one,” Vandall said.

Mason Garfield faced a state champion from last year. “Mason wrestled him well, we were up in the match but lost a close scramble and that was it,” Vandall said.

The Wolves went back to Glasgow on Saturday, Feb. 6.

Reed and Beston had one match with each other. “Sam came out the winner on that one. I hate seeing that happen but sometimes mat time is mat time,” Vandall said.

Kemp had one match against a wrestler from Fort Benton. “He is a pretty tough kid, he lost the match,” Vandall said.

Jordan Davis faced two Glasgow wrestlers. He went 0-2. “ He got lucky again and got the two-time state champion again. Jordan didn’t back down he went out and did good,” Vandall said.

Page went 0-2. “He had the state champion again, he did better this time,” Vandall said.

Smith went 0-2. “He had the two-time state champion. He also had a different kid from Glasgow. This was one of his best matches on the year. He was getting after it. We were ahead and made a freshman mistake,” Vandall said. Garfield wrestled two Fort Benton wrestlers He went 2-0. “Mason got some sweet revenge on the one. He beat us in the quarterfinals at state last year,” Vandall said. “We got the fall in the first period. Mason really controlled both matches.”

The Wolves head to Poplar on Friday, Feb. 12.
